The year 2023 started with ChatGPT! It was the most popular word in the world. Everyone had something to ask from the super AI built by OpenAI. It’s an AI driven chat bot which can answer your questions, write your thesis, write your articles (Disclaimer, this article is not written by an AI 😜) and even write code! Bye bye developers.

ChatGPT was an instant success!

It has become so successful, even Microsoft invested 10 billion US dollars in OpenAI. Now, they have started working on the 4th version of ChatGPT. Not just ChatGPT, DALL·E and Midjourney can create realistic images based on your description. Bye bye artists. Murf.AI can generate speech from the text you provide which sounds like real humans. Synthesia can generate speech and the video from text.

We knew it was coming

People knew AI would replace them someday. But no one took it that seriously until this year. Now it’s almost certain that AI will definitely replace humans. In the near future, we might just have to sit on a chair while machines do everything like in the movie WALL-E.

But why?

So, now we know that AI will take over our jobs… The question is, why? There’s one simple answer… Because we are lazy! Humans are lazy, we always try to find shortcuts. If someone can do our job for us, we would gladly step aside. Earlier, Github introduced Copilot. A plugin which can write code. Developers can use it to easily generate the code automatically. It made their jobs a lot easier. Everyone jumped in and started using it. Unfortunately, they forgot, by using Copilot, they are training the AI to be better than us. To replace us one day.

When they introduced ChatGPT, see how many people used it to do their work. Content creators, artists, developers, designers, teachers, students, and the list goes on… The students have stopped learning…. Why should they. An AI can do their assignments for them. Most of them just need the marks to pass the bloody exams. That’s why I do not care about the paper qualifications when hiring people for Leafy Code International.

They are better than us

AI can do what we do better. They are not lazy. They don’t feel tired. So, no wonder why large corporations want to replace their workforce with AI. Imagine how much money they can save. People need supervisors and managers, AI doesn’t need any of that.

At the end, the master will become the slave. The slave will become the master. We would have to do whatever they say. Don’t think science fiction movies won’t come true. One day they will. The question is, what will happen to you? What will you do?
